Blessed Sunday
Saturday was all stormy and rainy. I made the right decision to stay home (with a little gym during noon time) and just chilled out.
Come Sunday, I was all geared up to go to church (after missing it for a good few weeks). I was also very excited because I was meeting my friend who came all the way from Edinburgh to London…

Yup, she is my wonderful, lovely senior (despite biologically younger than me) Ivy! It is just so nice meeting her and her friend YF. We had lunch and randomly decided to go to Harrods in Knightsbridge.
I have heard about this high class deparmental store a lot from many people previously, but I had yet to pay a visit there. Hence, a sense of excitement and curiosity cocktailed together. But amazingly enough, I think I had too high expectation of the place that I found it not as ‘expensive’ as I expected to be. Perhaps I was at the cheaper area all throughout. But I found that things were quite affordable that I even bought a bag from there because it was quite reasonable.
Of course, there were ultra pricey things such as…

This £4999 pineapple-themed cake.
Speaking of expensive things, well, Ferrari is a very high class and expensive car. I know this sounds absolutely random but if Ferrari is expensive, you can always opt for other accessories such as Ferrari parts for your collection as a Ferrari fan. There are many ways to enrich your fan collection if you are into fast and classy vehicles.
Other quite ridiculously priced food must be this..

I didn’t know the starfruits we planted back home could worth so much!
There were a variety of food at the Food Hall which was just beautiful with their own vibrant colours..

I think it is quite fun just walking around surveying the prices. There is also a memorial of Princess Diana and Dodi al-Fayed at the ground floor. At the centre was their engagement ring.

Of course, we couldn’t leave Harrods without splurging in something quite fancy and generous in calories and sugar as well..

Ivy’s treat!
I just feel so blessed today. After Harrods, I dropped by Noisette’s place to pass her some sachets of liang cha and had the chance to touch and feel her new Zara boots. Then I headed home via Northern Line and reached home in time for my Sunday cookout duty. The menu this weekend is porky aubergine and grilled chicken breast. Yums! A bit too salty, though. I should learn to reduce the oyster and soy sauce next time.

i see you’ve adapted very well to life in london. not THAT expensive once you’re there, right?? dropped by your alma mater (IMU) the other day – they’re very short of medical lecturers, & may recruit from ..er… overseas (read: india)
are you planning on coming home after you finished?

Hi Doc,
I am doing alright so far. I play hard, so I gotta work hard as well. Yes, IMU has always been short of lecturers. They are already recruiting many foreign lecturers from India, Sri Lanka, Myanmar etc.. we had plenty of them during my time.
